Pour moi, la plus belle version du requiem de G Fauré. Le pie Jésu est absolument merveilleux, il nous transporte littéralement.

C'est très bien ! Mais le live de Cologne en 1957 est bien supérieur ,c'est de l'électricité ,une virtuosité sans retenue ,et un mi bémol retentissant puis diminué pianissimo dans la reprise de la cabalette finale .Comme toujours Callas est infiniment supérieure à elle même en live ,qu'en studio .

This concert sounds like turning 35 years to me. There’s the quiet tragedy of the final fact of growing up, reaching the middle of life, and at the same time desire for hope, because somehow one needs to live on (as mothers and grandmothers and all the other people on the planet did) and learn to enjoy not only pleasures of being young. I’m writing here because there’s no one else and nowhere else I can say this.

Beautiful, majestic, spacious, serene, spiritual. Up there with Bruckner's 9th and Dvorak's New World.

Je suis nul en musique et je chante très faux en plus. Je pars de loin... mais pourquoi Glenn Gould tout de suite quelque chose d'exceptionnel ressenti ? Je crois qu'il est un de ces hommes qui changent le Monde : Après l'écoute on a l'impression que l'humanité peut être meilleure, non ?

本当にカラヤンはシベリウスの交響曲を尊敬していたのか怪しく思うことがある。 どうしても比較してしまうのがバーンスタインVPO盤だが。 あれはメチャクチャな演奏だったが、交響曲全体としては雄大な大河のような流れがあった。 対してカラヤンの演奏にはどこか、映画の編集作業のようなパッチワーク感をどうしても感じてしまう。 特にシベリウスは音を削ぎ落として行く技法が多いが、そういった部分の繋ぎ方がバーンスタインと較べると無神経な部分を感じてしまう。 というか、削られた「音」に対して、不安を抱いてしまうような箇所が散見される。

who are the players? Why do you publish live music without the players names? It is not respecfull for them. The interpretation is great so why hiding who plays? => Do you have their consent?
